Located to the west of the Whitefish Bay area where the Edmund Fitzgerald was lost in a major storm in November 1975. Roger Pellett Posted October 27, 2021 Share #4 Posted October 27, 2021 One of these sunken vessels, the Schooner Dot, was apparently a “Canaller,” a specialized ship designed to navigate the restricted lock dimensions of the Welland Canal around Niagara Falls. The current issue of the Nautical Research Journal includes the first of a two part article about building a model of one.
