Your Lysander came out beautiful, Andrew. The matte finish looks perfect. I don´t know, why I always have to think about "The Adventures of Tintin", besides the secret stuff in France, when I see a Lysander. Can´t wait for your Gannet, as I have on in my stash as well.

Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob, a Gannet log has been started!

Congratulations Andrew. You’ve created a beautiful Lysander. The open cockpits, and deployed slats and flaps really show it off nicely.

Thanks Alan, I wanted to show of all the "bits and bobs" so glad it came out alright.

For a somewhat complicated looking model aircraft, that sure went together well. Fantastic job!

Andy

Complicated looking perhaps, but Airfix done a great job in making the assembly fairly straight forward, the only compromise (for a Mk.1) being the connecting tabs that hold the wings together are visible through the wing-root windows. - easily overlooked, though and later versions those were solid so no problem

Very nice model, Andrew! It was an unexpectedly quick build for such not trivial a model (you finished it within one post page 🙂). It turned out nevertheless very precisely assembled and nicely finished! Among many things, I like the cleanliness of the transparent parts and the way you rendered the scorched metal of the collector ring.

Best regards,

Dan

PS. A 1/48 Fairey Gannet would be awesome.

Thanks Dan, Gannet log has been started!...
