YES! The ratlines on the New York are done!!

I demonstrate ship building at our local county fair each year for 10 days. The sound you hear in the background of the video is one of the many bands that play through out the day in the Grandstand right outside the building I am in.

Yes, those are staples. They HELP keep the shrouds straight. It is not a perfect method, but, it helps immensely.

Ratline jigs are all up, and one side of lower Mizzen shrouds done and posted here to show jig use results

Top sail and top gallant shrouds going on.

More work on the New York. Lower shrouds are all in. Starting the futtock shrouds and top mast shrouds.

Work on the New York progresses. Lower fore mast shrouds are basically done. Futtock staves and Catharpins are on. Heart blocks are in on the bow sprit.

Masts, spirit mast on Mizzen, and Jib Boom are going in on the New York. On my last few ship models I have not been gluing the masts in. Instead I have been simply allowing the tension on the shrouds to hold the masts in place.

The spar deck is done on the New York.

The New York's carronade gun tackle is done. The pin rails are starting to go in. Yes, I know the bow pin rails are crooked. There are not glued in yet so I can fix that!

I was so busy making ship's boat making videos for my U tube channel I forgot about these.

The New York's barge/whale boat is pretty much done.. Needs some final touches to clean up fuzz and paint job. I was busy the past week making an in depth video series on making a ship's boat. It is in 9 parts! About half are 10 minutes or so long, but several run 15 to 25 minutes. I have them on U tube. My channel is @gregbaumgartner8257 I have not tried or looked into posting video here. Is it allowed and if so how do you select videos to up load?
