hahahahahaha, I did the same as you, but mine in no way came out as nice as your gun ports. Maybe your pencil was sharper than mine.

All frame are glue, making sure 90 degree on both plan are respected.
Eight stern collars are installed, the picture given is not accurate.
The bow is installed, the two parts #38and #39 are  not cut for this boat,to long and the slot are to small,
but everything is modified for the fit.

I happily await pictures. If your Ana was anything like my AL Victory, you will have to shim numerous frames in order to get the planking to lay properly.

Cheerio mates and friends and modellers

today it is time for a update with some pics. At least I have finished the hull right now. I have to spray some colorless semigloss varnish onto the surface, but this is a work to be done soon. You will probably miss the anchors and the lamps - but both are to be installed to the very end of the build - before the flags

The boat and the masts are now to be done.

I started this log almost six month ago - and I really spent a lot of time in my shipyard (you can ask the Admiral ). But there was not one single minute of boredom around. I love the ship and I love to improve my techniques and to increase my expierence.

So please enjoy the pics and dont hesitate to comment what you see.

Also, make sure and do a thorough inventory of the kit contents as I found a few pieces missing from my AL Victory kit like the whole photo etched brass sheet containing hammock stays.

That looks suspiciously like the same way the AL Victory build starts out. I have been curious if Artesania Latina didn't just revamp the Victory kit to make the Santa Ana. But either way, I love the ship and can't wait to follow along on your progress.

    First picture.

I build the keel the 3 parts together on a piece of wood to make sure the keel is straight.
    Good result.
Then i build frame #7 making sure as the instruction manual for the 90D of all parts.
Next step, 7 and 13 frame gets in but a little sending was necessary to fit,(but not glue up to now)

    Welcome every body.
    Finally i am there.
Tree build up to now,to build some experience and skill, for this project.
I am glad to start the Santa Ana.
I open the box this morning,to check all parts, fitting, wood, and instruction.
I have to admit the instruction manuel is fantastic minimum tree picture per page, and plan
    are well done.
The cut for parts is also good,i just hope the enthusiasm of first view will continue.

So now first step after counting parts,is to number them and separate them from the form.
I will come back with some picture later.

    P.S
If i am doing something wrong feel free to help me.
    Thanks to all.

Five new photos of the work done yesterday afternoon.

I have built and installed 18 new timber heads in the forecastle. It seems easy but in practice I spent more or less 3 hours around them.

I started from a plank of walnut of 4x4mm. Each head is 6mm long. When the 18 pieces were ready I drill all of them in order to insert and glue a pivot. In practice a nail of brass.

Then I drill 18 holes on the planksheer in the proper position and finally I have fixed the timber heads into them. As glue I used Super Attack.

    That's all for now. Regards.
