  1. Then I took the model off the slipway and stuffed it all into a bottle, applying some silicone sealant to the bottom of the bottle beforehand. I placed the boat's hull diagonally and left it to dry.
  2. I made thinner rigging yarns, made new stay ropes, finished the running rigging, added the tiller, the flag on the bowsprit, painted the underwater part with copper and reassembled the whole structure on the slipway
  3. I put a model on the slipway and... I decided that there would be no deadeyes in this this time...
  4. Hi to all! One more of my small and short projects. You can read the story of this boat HERE So, first, I made the basis of the boat's hull.
  5. Welcome, Niallmhor! Now you're still building ships in bottles? Best Regards! Igor.
  6. Hi Pete! Thank you! Yeah, it's bamboo. I often use this kind of tree if I need to get thin masts and spar parts. I think the wise man knows that most of the time there are no limits. We set our own limits when we say we can't do anything before we try to do it... Why, Pete? Is there a problem? Best Regards! Igor. P.S. There's a forum for bottled shipbuilders. And group in FB too.
  7. Then I put the upper part of the hull in the bottle and put it in her place with the addition of glue.
  8. Then I took off the mastes with the parts of the rigging and installed the davits with the boats
  9. Then the wiring diagram of the rigging inside the bottle was drawn up and the davits were slightly improved
  10. Very nice model and amazing detailed! My congrats, Thanasis! Igor.
  11. By the way, Pete, you can see the sail making process here - https://modelshipworld.com/topic/15797-pilot-cutter-jolie-brise-by-igorsky-finished-bottle-scale-1240/page/2/
  12. Many thanks for your feedback, Pete! My home library has several books by different authors about making ships in a bottle. But in these books there are usually only basics and simple examples. So don't limit yourself to books! Communicate with colleagues, fantasize, try to do things that seem impossible at first. Best regards and good luck! Igor. P.S. Write a book? I have another idea!
