Thank you Tom, I think that to make all this is not as difficult as it seems )) Yesterday I have done some inconspicuous works, so I have the quite a little to show. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Carl, I made these 4 boats shown on the photo from the kits with laser-cutted parts. I was wondering just to try to do it. The method shown in the link is also very pleasant to me. It seems to me it's quite simple, but effective. It is not my method, I found it on the internet a long time ago. The method that I used for building these 2 lifeboats for LENA, I use quite often in my SIBs. Using this method I was able to build the really very small boats -

Thanks Nigel! 5,5 cm?!?! WOW!!! This boat is very big! )) I think the boat of this size can be made in the traditional way. I've done several boats from kits. The smallest was 75 mm. Please, look at this link - https://www.shipmodeling.ru/tips/lifeboat Perhaps it will be useful to you also. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Carl, I think you're exaggerating )) I also think that each one of us can do almost anything. The main thing - just to start doing it )) In my methods is nothing improbable or difficult. It's just a set of simple steps and elements. Best Regards! Igor.

Hi Nigel, Yes, of course I'll be happy if it will be useful to you. But for which model you want to make this boat? You can make a really small boat using this method - Best Regards! Igor.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
