yes adrieke u was right on with that pic i lined up the deck3 with deck 2 i hve to move back such a simple fix that i did see that tys for the help ps keep up the great work

ok now what i have done is glued bottom of the stateroom and the top of it but not glued to the 3 deck yet as i got to do the vent befor i do that there are some caps that will have a strip of wood that will cover them here some pic

thanks cannoe i really enjoy what iam doing i save money building boats hen going to the bar lol my friend came over last night he going to build a case for my ship for me when its done cant till its all done . ps thanks for all your kinds words

here in an update iam now working on the upper floor of the state room and the out side planking is all done so far so good

If you have the money you should maybe look at Sherline web site before you buy, there is also Taig and a few others that are better. This is my option, and I have all Sherline equipment, but it does come down to you and how much you want to spend. The add-ons is what is going to cost you in the long run,try and get the best package deal you can. If you go with Sherline tell them that you are retired and you will get a discount.They stand by there product 100% all the time. do yourself a favor and check them all out before you make a buy.

It's taken some time but I've finally shaped the outer hull. It's not perfect but I've got it to a point that I feel satisfied with it.This boat might not turn out to be a museum quality model but I'm pleased to have gotten this far. I also found the way Chuck has you cut the curve of the stem using pieces of 1/8" strip wood has its challenges. I found it next to impossible to get a good bond when you try joining the angled strip to the straight strip.The problem is that there's no way to clamp it. So even though I let the glue try for 24 hours when I attempted to cut the piece out it breaks. The way I ended up resolving it was to glue the two pieces back together again only this time I took a garment pin, stuck it into the stem and cut the pin flush,it worked. So this is my progress thus far.
