    Tom, You have done a terrific job! Congratulations. I will be sure to watch for further updates. The Niagara is on my to-build list, but I have enough on my hands at the moment with Fair American. Again, a very nice build that you are doing. Jim

    I am coming into this discussion a little late, but I thought I would throw my two cents into the pot. While I agree with many that sails on square rigged models can detract, the Bluenose schooner almost screams for its full dress of sails. Or at least that was my conclusion as I came to the question in my Bluenose build. For what it is worth, here is a picture of my Bluenose completed and mounted under an acrylic display case. Jim

    Hello Robert, I am relatively new to the forum. I guess I would have to say that I am more risk-adverse than you, because I truly admire you for taking on Victory as your first wooden model ship. I am working my way up, having completed Bluenose and now engaged in the build of MS' Fair American. I am truly thrilled by your work thus far, and I hope to continue to watch as you take Victory closer and closer to completion. Jim

    Yep, two years and more is what it took me to complete this MS version of the Bluenose. A lot of work, lots of frustration, but, in the end, a lot of satisfaction. Good luck to you. I will be interested to follow your progress. For what it is worth, here is a picture of my completed Bluenose. I have the maple base and the acrylic cover. Just need the brass plaque to nail onto the base to make this complete.
