  1. So how it looks so far IMG_3468.MOV
  2. Rust wash, mud and dust next
  3. Olive drab with a dark brown wash, then Drybrushed edges in red/brown and sponged on red brown. rust wash next
  4. Next. The tracks, red primer, then a red brown coat, followed by. Heavy enamel rust wash, then a silver Drybrush to bring up the worn metal parts, then a heavy dust wash
  5. Awnings added. That should do this one.
  6. Thanks mate, I’ll get the awnings on tomorrow and then do up the OD one. The hours of alignment have paid off so far. I watched Captain Nightshift do a video on a WW1 tank, follow that and you’ll replicate this easily enough.
  7. So coming together now, a few days work to get the roof done now? Then I can do the other tractor
  8. It’s all about layers, if you look at my Borodino, Graf Zepplin or Seydlitz builds it covers the rust and wear. I followed a U tube video from Captain Nightshift which is just excellent
  9. Anyways, I now have 4 WNW kits which I intend to build on here if I live long enough. There are 2 more ships in the stash which will be done soon as there is very little that is grabbing me, maybe another Dreadnought ? Lots of stories about some new RN kits to be released but I don’t believe it.
  10. Unfortunately for some bizarre reason shipping from the US to Australia is truely offensive. A $90 kit has the same amount for shipping pretty much. It does not make sense why it is to high short of blatant profiteering from the carrier companies, a Gotha has a $200 shipping fee!!
  11. Starting to come together!!!
  12. Nice. Ww1 modelling is really now a thing, there is new stuff coming out all the time, new 3D printed stuff all the time too. Look forward to this
  13. So when I sanded down 50% of the interior of the tracked I stuffed up and added wrong tracks to each kit, and @Egilman pointed this out to me (I hadn’t noticed as I was probably a bit focused on the weathering), so I’ve been at work all afternoon and just got home after midnight and pulled them off and swapped them. 30 minutes of weathering the tracks tomorrow and I’m back on track. (He’s know, I’d know and it would just burn me up for stuffing it up. Thanks young man for saving me. Imagine if it was after I’d finished!!!
  14. Dry brushed the tracks to bring out the worn bits and some rust wash
  15. The weathering process begins
