  1. Well let’s just see how this goes….. we will find out in about 3 days
  2. So next it paint all the struts. Fix mistakes, gloss coat, matte coat, rigging, weathering, add a aftermarket pilot. Dunk in water
  3. Ok, so nothing lined up with most of the struts provided. Bashing required.
  4. So I won’t back to an art shop, bought a new base, rattle canned it black. Saturated the base with white glue and added pebbles, then scratch built a jetty out of wood from my wooden ship days. My plan is to pour clear resin in then park the Macchi in it. As you. And see I’ve done up the topside of the top wing, which is gloss so I can add the decals.
  5. Masking in the ribs. I’ll only do the topside as I intend on planting her in a resin base again
  6. The fuselage, then the wings. I think the wings will need a few coats yet then mask in the ribs. I’ll pretty much have to paint it then throw it together which means a nice solid gloss coat when I do that.
  7. I have these from an old build, when they get paint they’ll be perfect
  8. There is not much aftermarket for this genre. The engine is actually really nice just needing a few additions. Getting it to fit in its cowling is a challenge mind you. I’ve joined up the hull and it and putty and sand time
  9. Lots of Sanding required and the rigging looks insanely hard
  10. As part of a club build, Anything Italian, I chose my first resin kit. Limited run, lovely details. I’ll try not to stuff it.
  11. Thanks, I started but the heroic voice over kinda pissed me off ! Publish or perish I suppose
  12. Superstructure. There are some gaps!!!!! this is in 8 pieces, at an angle on each.
  13. I have watched your build for a generation now. I just love it
  14. Nah, just imagine it’s a 1/3000 shot. Super slow mo
  15. Hull joined, annoying as the alignment is a pig. Putty sand putty sand primer sand
  16. So a new thing, whilst drilling the holes for the pedestals; I looked on my shelf and saw a pencil eraser (rubber - no not that type). It works perfect for snugly holding the brass pedestal rod!
  17. This so a really simple kit, the PE from Eduard is very nesessary if you’re going to use the back deck as it has a hydraulic system that makes up the safey rails which is recessed on the kit. Also the boat deck and helicopter hangar is closed so I’ll open it up and park some new helicopters
  18. Modelling challenges will be the oil canning from the hull panels, including the Mk57 VLS. The bow piece is a 2 part that attaches to the bow.
  19. This is the perfect example of a racehorse designed by committee. Underpowered, overpriced. Each round for her cannon valued at USD$1M and designed for NGS offshore but too valuable to expose to the shore. I was going to wait until they did the forward hyper velocity cruise missiles but I reckon they realise they would be too expensive again.
