Well, I finished the first whaleboat today. Four to go. Stained, glued, varnished painted and attached all the components for the first boat. Then set it on the ship until I finish the Running Rigging. Details on the website.

A little more progress as I work my way up the Main Mast. Got the Main Upper Topsail Yard completed and hung off on the parrel tub using a chain halyard tied off to another block and then belayed to the stbd pin rail. Details and pictures on my website. It still needs to be squared and other lines run before moving up to the Top Gallant.

OK, today I managed to finish the remaining whaleboats. They are sitting on the boat bearers for photographs only. These little buggers were a lot of work but lots of fun. Repetitious, but each a model in their own. All details are explained and photographed on my website for those following along. This completes BUILD LOG V on the site. Off to finish the running rigging...the end is in sight...wow!

Finished another whaleboat. Both are just sitting in position but not lashed yet. won't tie em down until I finish the Running Rigging.

Hi Tony, yeah, she's getting real busy and crowded. I'm currently working on the Upper Topsail Yard and wondering how all of this is going to fit inside her...lol. Still pondering the scratch, not sure what I'm going to do yet....still got time to think about it.

Thanks for dropping in BE, nice to see you here. She is a working boat for sure, glad you like the effect.

    Hi John,

The whole boat is looking really busy mate from the mother ship to the kids, she's looking really very very good.

Have you decided what your going to do regards the scare in the side, not forgetting she's a working ship and will get bashed about.

    Well done mate.

    Be Good

Hey Tony, thanks for dropping in. They actually carried a few more kegs, 2 more harpoons and lances, 5 paddles, shovels, hooks, grapples and just a lot of stuff for one of these small boats. Once the Mast and sail goes up, and the oars are out the deck gets a lot of room real fast....imagine though putting 6 people in there with all the rest of this stuff.

Hi Grant, yes, lots of details. Hmmm, seems a bit odd that you and Tony got back to back comments and also responded back in the same post....did you sneak back to UK Mate??????

Hi George, yes, no sails. I decided that early in the build.
