Because the angle of the beams on each window is changing, making a separate one may seem like a good idea, but once all the windows are installed, you’ll notice that the beams in the photo are somewhat skewed, especially the first one on the left. It’s not much, but it’s not perfect. It was a lesson to me that the overall horizontal line was ignored in the production.

Due to the number of hand-made windows, the small size of the parts (0.75 mm in side length) and the constant change of the interface angle, resulting in slow progress, the quality of partial completion is not good. Most of the wood lines are planed by hand and a few by milling. To avoid the edges, apply a small amount of wood wax oil to the surface. The construction of the interior of the ship will continue after the stern rudder is installed.

    The stiffeners on the outside of the hull have been repainted. It’s so much better than the old dark brown. The images were taken in natural light. The metal parts are still being processed, but unfortunately, in the process of organizing the photos, I accidentally deleted four processed photos, and the parts have been blacked out and installed, unfortunately, I can not retake. All metal parts are in accordance with the personal style, avoid the use of glue bonding and welding, to make it more solid and beautiful.

    It’s like you said, Mark. The color of a photograph is always different from what we see with the naked eye. The camera can also catch flaws that aren’t visible to the naked eye, and I often use this method to find overlooked details and rework them. There are two main lights and three secondary lights in my room, and in order to clearly show the details and true visual effect, I will also make some simple brightness and color adjustment in the later stage to achieve or close to the reality, rather than the “Art”of the picture. I don’t want people to see my work, and say, “Not as good as the picture.”. I think that a successful piece of work, is not only a personal preference, the most important thing is close to the truth, at least is accepted by the public, this time I really did not do. So on second thought, I decided to try a change that would bring the color closer to the usual “Black.”. Like Michael said, we have to accept the challenge to do better. It may be more of a failure, but it’s also an opportunity for me to improve. Personally, I am glad to see others criticize and correct me. Only in this way can I do better.     Thank you, Toni, John, for that compliment. To be honest, the color that took me half a day to bring up is really my favorite color, but the result looks Red and light in the photo, seems to be out of the ordinary. It’s not what I can see with my own eyes. Because the surface has been protected with paraffin oil, once polished off and re-dyed it will destroy the fragile, sharp edges, which is unacceptable to me. There is always something wrong with one piece of work, and it may serve as a profound lesson for improvement for my next piece.☺️

    It took a whole day to finish the rivets. The color is not completely black, I do not like the single color and contrast is too big, a Little Red Brown; because of the lighting, the actual color than the photo a little darker, similar to dark brown.

    Thank you for your support and encouragement. During the Spring Festival, I rested for five days. I started going back to my workshop yesterday. Because of the later dyeing, in order to show the irregular shape of the Lath, this part breaks the convention of complete laying. Making Rivets before dyeing is also tedious work.

    I couldn’t agree more with Druxey and Greg. I’ve tried it before. Ammonia is a temporary bleach, but it’s not stable. Wood softener is also available in China, and I don’t recommend it either; while it will have some effect, it will damage the wood fibers and become brittle after drying. In addition to clamps, hot air guns and warm water are your best choice for quick and easy access.

This process only their own personal experience and continuous accumulation of experience in order to have a deeper experience. So I don’t usually point out the mistakes of others. In the eyes of many people, as long as the parts are processed accurately and positioned accurately, they mean success, which is not the case. There are a lot of variables here, and no one can control for bias. As druxey points out (the last sentence is the main point) , he’s obviously a very experienced pro I admire! Don’t be fooled by other people’s beautiful results, it’s more important to learn how to adjust the deviation to a reasonable range. Usually the two sides of the ribs can be controlled within the maximum deviation of 1-2 mm, I think it is very good! Even if I use a lot of measurement and positioning means is the same! Because there are huge variables in the wood itself. That’s why it’s so hard to develop a full-size, full-structure kit other than building it from scratch. Please continue your wonderful, insist on you will become that excellent!
