Aldo,
on my (also not really good) NMM copy is no distortion. There are frames, which are really close together. If you get your new NMM drawing you can see it. I send you a PM.

Really wonderful, Ilhan

Chris,
do you think that's possible to buy only the drawings and the lasercut bulkheads? Is it right, that the scale is 1/64?
If I look at your pictures I think that the design of your kit is a very good source to realize a very old dream of mine, a model of HMS Victory in her 1775-1785 appearance.

Did I understand you right, have you ordered a digital copy of the drawings? Where on there website is this possible?
I wanted to order a plan and digitize it at a copyshop to do the work in my cad system. But your way should be much easier and hopefully more accurate.

Really interesting log with a lot of improvements. I have the kit also in msy shelf. If I start the build I will remember your log.

Really wonderful, Dan. I like the combination of the choosen timbers. Is it box and holly?

This looks like a very interesting kit and a very good base to do a model of this famous ship in her appearance during the American Wars of Revolution.

You have to attach the deadwood and stern before you start with the frameing. The transoms were positioned at the inner post.

That looks really good. Coongrats

Guy,
be aware, that the examples are from a Swan Class Sloop. The deadwood for your HMS Triton looks different and has different sizes. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask.
I post some info in Larry's build log. He uses the three layer method.

Joss,
your drawings are looking really good.

Richard,
I advise the TFFM-series from David Antscherl, especially the volumes 1 + 2 for building HMS Triton. Another very good source is Dan's build log about his HMS Vulture. It's another ship but the steps in building the models are similiar.

Really nice boat and a great cabinet.

Larry,
the problem with your deadwood is, that you did not made the core part thin enough. After glueing the outer layers on it, it should not be visible. If you put a plank on the stern post and after deadwood, there are some space on your model which should not be there. Don't worry I need several trys until I got these parts right.
I hope you can see on the picture what I mean.

Your young lady is looking really sweet
-
Mark,
have you thought of planking the upper deck only partially?
