  1. Wow!! Great kit! Where did you get it?)) I've been searching it for at lest 5 or 6 years...( Looks good!
  2. Hi! Sorry for late response) First of all, my congratulations to you as you've bought really great kit!) There are no issues with it. Everything fits good, photo etched is presice. You should buy additional metal gun burrels for it. And of course if it's your first ship, don't be hurry with gluing all together. Make a doublecheck before, that you're able to paint that stuff without extra efforts. It's better to paint some parts separately. Good luck with it;)
  3. Tanks a lot!🙂 Yes, the main reason to buy the box now was to avoid dust. There are so many tiny details...I will definitely brake something if I will clean her.🤷‍♂️
  4. Hi to all! It's been a long time since I've done something with Alaska. Today cranes are almost finished. The only thing is left - to add cables. And with this step the assembly is more or less done. All parts will be glued together after painting. Next step - priming.
  5. Guys, does anyone have good photos of USS Alaska's cranes? I want to know, how cables are placed on the crane.
  6. Recently my friend has dropped a box with small parts of both superstructures. Some parts were broken. So now I have minus one friend 😄 Just kidding. I've spent a couple of hours by fixing the damaged parts. For now I have a small progress with the rear superstructure.
  7. While building Alaska I've bought a few more boxes. I guess I got crazy about ships🤪
  8. Thanks a lot! I've tried a dozen of different glues and found out that the best one for me is one of the cheapest, which is called "Premia". It's an own brand of one Ukrainian supermarket. In fact they have two CA glues. On dries faster and another is thicker and gives you more time to place the detail. I use both of them. To apply it I use a scalpel blade and a toothpick.
