    Thanks. Love the color blue you chose for the outer hull. Seems more understated and lovely than the more commonly seen darker blue. I’m about to start my sphinx soon. Your log will be invaluable. One thing I was thinking. You have such an outstanding amount of detail in the gun deck nand captains quarters. Did you ever think of enlarging the for and aft cutouts to increase visibility. Also, are there. Other logs on the sphinx that you consider a real aid in your work.

    Hello all, in looking at spring clamps I wonder what size and make is liked best. Many choices from 2-6 inches and many levels of price. this is for planking and overall work on the HMS Sphinx.

    Chris, I eagerly await my Kit, pre ordered last week. You mention two things that I am curious about. 1) How many parts does this kit have. 2) I agree that sails always seem terribly out of scale and ruinous to such a beautifully scaled model as this. Have you ever found a material that is good for a model this scale? In the past I have used Japanese rice paper cut to sized, dyed to proper color, marked with pencil for material panel effect and moistened for furling. With this I was quite content with the results. Any similar experiences?
