    Kimberley,

Please be assured that we don't think that any model is 'dumb'.  It's your model and your choice of just what you want to build.  We're just happy to come along for the ride.

Try to find rubber tipped tweezers. They work awesome with soft wood and smaller pieces.

I'm lying sideways on my desk to get a full appreciation.  Offhand, I'd say you have a better eye for nautical stuff and should bag the idea of being a window treatment consultant

I swear by these to apply my CA. I dont attach them to the bottle instad I put some CA on wax paper syphon a little up and apply to my work. If its wood it will draw it out of the tip, other materials I blow gently into the opposite end. My wife says I look like a crack head doing this but it works great and I dont get CA everwhere just where its needed.

For the last week my boat has sat dormant due to my work schedule.  I managed to almost get the hull done and now it awaits paint.  I must admit I am terrified of ruining this boat with the wrong color scheme but alas it is my first attempt at painting a wood ship.  Below I have applied sealer to it, which did a great job of blending in the wood filler and smoothing out the hull for paint.

Thanks again to all who offered advice for the hull. I made card stock patterns, fitted them, then soaked them in alcohol for 15 minutes and they slid right in!

Here is where I have a serious issue.  The second lower section is about 150% bigger than needed and needs to be attached very specifically, I am stuck on this part.  Note the pictures, the instructions have you fit it on against the keel, ending at the transom and the forward bulkhead.  Also, it seems to twist from one end to the other and needs to be trimmed down, but where I am puzzled.

This is where any advice would be awesome!
