It would seem, install guns while there are no decks and live quietly! Even gun waists can be established without hindrances; but actually it is not the best exit. Guns will constantly stir during building a model And how to adjust covers of ports with the sticking-out trunks? Is not present! It is better to install guns via hatches in decks by means of the tows stretched outside of gun port at the last minute. The tow is a flexible medical catheter with a hook on the end. Tightened the gun to port, it was hooked for it outside and put it on the special pin established in advance when there is no deck yet. On a glue droplet.

I am sure, that a "block tumbler" will "kill" the cleats and even the blocks! Be not such lazy! All these details need to be made only manually and with love! It is better to spend couple of excess days, than then to be ashamed of the minute weakness...

Hello, Paul! It is rather simple woodcarving. For example, my friend Sergey Kuzmin can do more complicated carving...

Pieter! I was in your Bretagne in 2012. I took part in Maritime festival in Brest with this model! My friend Pierre Grandvilliers invited me! We could meet each other?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
