As I am going to start with a big job in my livingroom (new floor and painting) I have made the standard as enclosed with the kit to store this kit safely during these activities. I need the workspace for my models to store and prepare paintings etc etc.
I expect to restart during my X-mas holidays but keep online regulary

I have started to redo the bow section as there were some failures
first the problem was that the planking in the bow section was not correct and second the doors were not correct
after thinking this issue during my holiday in the sun with over 30 degrees I decided to remove the wrong parts and start again
as the weather forecast for tomorrow is extreme high temperature (35 degrees) I might continue with an extra fan in my workshop.

Your Wasa is looking fantastic Michael.
You are a good example of that what I always say. Kid-Builder are also very good scratch-builder

Hi Michael
please check the pictures on this website
http://www.modelships.de/Museums_and_replicas/Vasa-Museet-Stockholm/Photos-Vasa-ship.htm
here you can see the locations of the extra openings, assuming these are the watering openings you are looking for.
(I have these pictures all printed and use these in my workshop, maybe in the future an old computer is easier)

Hi Matti,
I wish I could join you in visiting the Museum for a 2nd time..
when building a kit you have always to make compromises with supplied materials in the kit and verifying with the original. we can see here that everybody makes his own deviations in his kit, I feel this personally as a good aspect of the creative part of the shipmodelling
