  1. Thanks Pete, I can't seem to locate a picture of the steam engine I built and sadly it didn't turn out as pretty as the one pictured above but works great. Can't wait to build the boat and install it and give it a try.
  2. My girlfriend ordered the Fantail Launch II for me for Christmas and it's supposed to come via UPS tomorrow. Awesome, now I can build that and install my steam engine I built from a Midwest kit and add radio gear and run it at a pond this coming spring. I will post build updates as I go....wayyyy too many projects at once here but I sure love this hobby lol.
  3. Thanks for the comment....Not since my last update Ryan, I had started a couple other projects and now a banged up finger is keeping me from building at the moment, hopefully my finger heals fast so I can get back at it.
  4. Not any further on my projects I'm afraid. I smacked a finger and had the finger nail removed so I haven't felt much like model building. Hopefully my finger heals fast.
  5. That veneer edge bending iron is exactly the same thing used to attach the covering on R/C planes so any hobby shop should carry it http://www.amazon.com/COVERITE-Black-Baron-Sealing-COVR2550/dp/B000X4OLQM/ref=pd_sbs_t_9 great idea mad chemist....Also good job so far ion your build 3sheets.
  6. Thanks guys, didn't feel so well today so didn't do a thing but hopefully will get the sanding done tomorrow and hull finished at least.
  7. Your lobster boat in the last picture really looks nice...I finally posted a start to my build too.
  8. Thanks Russ, yep that's why I stopped for now, I hate fairing work. Sanding frames is the worse part of builds in my opinion.
  9. Here is my progress so far on my Midwest Products Muscongus Bay Lobster Smack. [url=http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/shawn32671/media/DSC02096_zps06dbfa74.jpg.html]
  10. I dug my lobster smack out this afternoon and thought I'd see how far I can get on it by evening. I will post a build progress when I get some done. Hopefully mine turns out as nice as yours.
