1795
Off Cape St.-Vincent the HMS Fortitude (74), HMS Bedford (74), Cptn. Augustus Montgomery, HMS Lutine, HMSTisiphone and Censeur (jury-rigged and armed en flute), with their convoy sighted a large French squadron, which sailed in chase. In the subsequent exchange the Censeur was recaptured by the French along with 30 ships of the convoy, the rest continuing their passage to England.

1985 - Four Palestinian terrorists members of the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF), the terrorist wing of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) board the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro in order to hijack the luxury liner and it's passengers.
2001 - Operation Enduring Freedom begins with carrier air strikes, and ship and submarine Tomahamk strikes.

Last few pics . just finishing up the long boat. Will post soon. As you can see I like to follow my own path when building. Preferring to just see where it leads me. I tossed all the precast parts and attempted to scratch build. Not great but had a good time working my way thru it. After looking at allot of the great work in the build logs , my Rattlesnake must look pretty rough around the edges..But a hobby is a hobby not a profession.

I built a ship in the bottle kit years ago. I call it my shipwreck in a bottle. Thinking of trying it again. Looking forward to see how your goes!

the angle of the bulwark cuts and the way they are shaped, I will need to curve these planks to accept the top rail / pin rail {these two aspects are combined}. these parts are going to be a tough go......they are made of plywood and very stiff. note where the slots are.....rope stanchions are to be located in these slots.....too close to the ends to do an adequate bend. I have an idea for this, but I need these parts for refference.
note also, that on the parts sheet, that is all I have for the crow's nests. rather than make the missing parts and have it look odd, I'm going to scratch make all of the parts.......in this way, they will all be the same. this also will come in play later on. the starboard side stern wall is built up.
I had made the same parts for the port side wall.
