Over the weekend I fashioned the bowsprit and attached it.

I inserted the belaying pins, using a piece of 1/16 thick basswood as a lower spacer.
Then I used that same spacer to cut the tops off evenly.
The glue won't show once rope coils are hung over them.

Over the weekend, I painted and installed the wheel and binnacle. Then I cut 20 pieces of brass rod for the belaying pins.

Spent the evening drilling holes...7 on each side, plus 6 on deck.

Added the caprail and skylight frames. Still needs touch up.

Then sprayed white and removed the masking tape. Looks like a little touch-up will be necessary.

Yes, drill all the way through. I've put the Wendameen aside for a bit, doing a project for Al.

So now we begin to mask off the deck so I can re-spray the white.

So after much thinner, rubbing, scraping and sanding, a coat of primer, more sanding, and a spray tan, the result is much more pleasing.

So I decided to strip off the paint and re-do it. It was not an easy job.
