Hello Erik. I agree with all your comments about the Constructo HMS PANDORA. When I made this model about 5 years ago I realized many of the errors and lack of clarity that you mention in instructions and drawings . So I gave myself the task of writing all my comments and sending them to the Company in the eagerness to improve that. The answer was very kindly but I was told that this model will be out of the market.
However, despite the problems, the construcction of this model gave me great satisfaction andthe results where quite acceptable.

Hola;
Following with the cannons and carriages, apparently the problem was solved changing the eyebolts but that was not so. I tried to accommodate the cannons in its place but they do not look good, the reason: the blocks are out of scale and are to big (the correct size would be less than 5/64 instead the ones provided 3/32). So, instead of two blocks per side I remove one of them to get more space. They are not as they must be but they look better.

Before going further I decided to varnish the deck and inside of bulwark with Satin Varnish. In doing so, it is easier to sand between coats of varnish if there are no objects to interfere:
After varnishing the deck, proceeded to put some of the eyebolts and cleats, but first I obscured the eyebolts using Black Patina (the one used for stained glass) and painted the cleats dark brown.
but then, I realized that cleats were quite large, so I reduced the size of them in a couple of millimeters (left:original size, right: reduced size)
Here you can see eyebolts, cleats, chocks for mooring lines and rails to close ports:

The colors I choose where Acrylic "multi- surface" by FolkArt and then a couple of layers of Satin polyurethane varnish. Thank´s for following my posts.

Almost reaching the end. Now I've put the running and stern lights, the lifeline stanchions and railing as well as the small swivel guns and a pair of life rings.
What remains to finish is the construction of the cradle or building-ways, and finally a case to protect the model.

After some vacations I continued with my boat work. Now with the foremast rigging. It was actually slower than I thought at first because of the large amount of rigging to place (and I did not put the sails on!!).
To give a different and more interesting touch tilt the yards a bit. This also allows me to make the case a bit narrower. Here some pic´s:

After a little less than a year I finally finished my Baltimore Pride II. This was my first ship without sails and I showed it as if I were in a dry dock, a different view of all my other models. Here some pic´s:

Continuing with the POB construction:
In the first two pictures you can see the installation of the Planksheer, and as some of you mention, it seems to be a little shorter at the stern but I left it so to see what happen later.
Here yo can see that I exceed in the beveling of some Bulkheads and it must to be corrected
Next, I decided to paint the Planksheer because it seems more easy to do it know than later

Hola Ulises, this can be named as "The strange case of the missing plank"
Seeing your picture I think I found the mystery, there was in the plank I mark red:
I do not know how advanced are you in the planking, but probably you can take off part of it and repeated again.

Apparently nobody is watching my posts, probably because this is not a very popular ship whatever the reason. Anyway I will continue putting my advances on the Forum.
Here I show my next steps:
After painting I put the 3 wales below the planksheer and also begun planking the keel or lower portion, including the stealers as shown in the blueprints (Note the nib ends of these planks):
Below the wales I continue with the planking. By the way, the number of planks that are shown in the drawings are not the actual number according to the width of the planks provided (20 to 22 against 17).
It is to notice that for the bow I prefer to make a curve plank than trying to bent the plank

Here you can see that I added two drop strakes near the bow in order to maintain the plank wide to an acceptable size
And finally I sand all the ship´s hull

You're right, maybe I have been a little ahead with the comment that few people see my topic, maybe what caused me the comment were 3 things: 1) Age: at my age (70) the feeling of time becomes shorter, and is difficult to discern if something happens yesterday or a week ago, ha,ha,ha !!! 2) The number of people who are doing the POB is now quite less than the other models I've built (actually in the Forum I do not see more than 5) 3) In my previous topics for the first week I had at least 5 or 6 responses. I think you must change your workplace, for instance dinning or sleeping room for coset and viceversa, haha!!

Hi friends:
Finally the time has arrived. After 15 months of spending many hours of fun with the construction of Vasa, yesterday I finished placing flags and banners and also the hand railings. Today, a little sadly, I have started to save and organize tools and materials as well as the workbench.
I decided that before starting with the new project, the "Pride of Baltimore", I have to design and make a display cabinet for the exhibition of some of the models, since I have no place in the house to place another ship individually.
Here some pictures of my finished model.
