Dear friends,

I bought a new tool the other week which I think is useful. It is a Proxxon lathe (DB 250). It makes it much easier to work with the mast parts and yards. The lathe does not come with the three jaw chuck you see in the picture. With the lathe comes some plastic inserts to similar to the inserts you have to hold the drill bits in a Dremel drill but with the jaw chuck the lathe becomes much more versatile. The lathe in its self is not too expensive but the jaw chuck costs almost as half the lathe.

Best regards

Henrik

Hi Henrik…

You will love the lathe! I bought mine used a year ago and just recently turned some masts and yards on it. I found that it was easier to use the plastic collets when turning the masts rather than using the chuck.

Cheers,

Julian
