I'm really tempted to build this kit one of these days and donate it to either a VFW or American Legion. I would build it radio control. But plastic models and late war ships are really not my expertise and not sure I could really do it justice.

Hi Mike ,

It's a very impressive model when it's built, you can spend months adding lots of details to the model if you take your time ,  do your research on the Enterprise and at the end you will have a model to be proud of to donate to a VFW , I had mine just in front of the window and during room inspections they took more time looking at the ship then they did the room. So my advice to you is to for it.

The painting and detailing of all of the aircraft is a project onto itself.

 

I also think at least a partial hangar deck would be a must.

 

This is definitely one kit that one can go "overboard" with super-detailing.
