So here’s how the little boats are coming along. Some still need a little varnish and  the block and tackles but they’re pretty much there.

There’s a little artistic licence with the tholes and the number of seats but they look OK to me.

They're also looking good to me, you've done a good job there  

I know there's talk about the position of tholes and seats which are all valid and interesting but as long as it looks okay and you're happy with the result that's all that counts.

On my model I've done quite a few things which may not be 100% accurate but they look okay to me.  When members point out inaccuracies I try to learn from them and take it forward into my next build.

Keep learning and keep up the excellent work!

We have gunports!!!

  

OMG!!! Tiny, tiny, pieces of photo etch. I was really struggling with placing these (tweezers no good!) until my wife suggested using masking tape to pick up the tiny pieces of brass. Wrapped the masking tape, sticky side out, round a cocktail stick, then was able to use it to pick up and place the photo etch pieces.

 

After a failed first effort with tweezers I was dreading this but I’ve got to say I’m quite pleased with them in the end.

I made note of the tape method in my plans. Glad you found a solution to that!
