Debating on whether to glue the some part together before spraying Surface Primer L Gray, or, spray on the spruce first. Frank Burroughs Posted August 15, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted August 15, 2023 Having much fun learning the hobby! Primed the model with Tamiya Light Grey Surface Primer. It went on well. The small can just put two coats on both sides. Will look into automotive fine primer for the next ship. Tamiya acrylic paint used to paint the model. Glycerin Oil used for a paint retarder. One part oil to nine parts water. I mixed 50/50 on retarder and paint. The two Men O' War models acrylic craft paint will be tried. Excited to compare the results. Soon rigging will start. Going to have to learn how to tie tiny knots. Had to take a few months off to pay off my credit cards. God, I missed working with my hands!
