Greetings Fellow Modelers,

I was looking throughout the site for some info about the new release from Occre - I didn't see anything so I decided to start a thread. From what I've seen, the October 9th release is touted as "the biggest battleship ever built". From that description, i assumed it was the Japanese battleship Yamato. But further on in Occre's description, they all but tell you the subject is the USS Missouri because of the "historic surrender ceremony" that took place on her decks. The two descriptions don't jibe but that's okay i suppose. Looking forward to this release and hoping the quality is at least as good as their Prinz Eugen offering.

If anyone has further info, we'd enjoy hearing it.

Depends if biggest means heaviest or the longest.  The Iowa class is lighter but longer than the Yamato class😉

the sizes given in the email reflect those of the 1/200 trumpeter American battle shipimage.png.59ea748b4422f25561ea7dc9bcf3d739.png

been watching the build vids of this ship on youtube and was quite interested to see what it looked like etc. i have also been watching the Prinz Eugen. its a bit of a toss up between the two to be honest.  the missouri is bigger but the shape etc of the Prinz Eugen is very nice (the Germans built exceptional ships in my opinion). will come down to the detail bits although the Prinz Eugen is quite a bit cheaper 550 pounds V 750 for the Missouri

Ships in Drydock for build. De Agostini HMS Victory, BB Dannebrog, Artesania Latina Cutty Sark and Endeavour longboat.
