Good luck on your project! These early Caldercraft kits were a bit short on instructions by today's standards, but they are nevertheless fine kits.

After getting the bulkheads all glued up, I realized that the rear bulkhead did not stay aligned properly. I had to use an Exacto knife to cut through the glue along the joint and get it re-glued straight.IMG_1379.thumb.jpeg.952755f1f70802e4135318767f95df19.jpeg

I did not have any pins and was struggling to keep the false deck against the bulkheads, so I drilled holes and used toothpicks. After getting the false deck glued down, I realized that the front two bulkheads are not quite lined up as you can see in the cut-outs on the false deck. Not sure if this matters much, but don't know if there is anything I can do about it now.

Hi drftrman,

Cruizer was my first ship model a long time ago. Don't worry about the bulkhead tops,at a later stage of the build when the hull is planked they're cut off. Just lightly tack glue the gunport patterns to them for that reason after fairing. I found that out the hard way. Have fun with your build, plenty advice on the forum, you just have to ask.
