After finishing the Mephistophelese..we'll almost..still making the seat..I started on this. Starting to figure out how to correct things..The shop manual arrives today so that should help. The gear box needs work to correct. Some things are in the wrong place..plus I may add real nuts and bolts..and make the torque arm attachment. That's the red thing..I believe its made of leather plates. They also have the torque arm attaching to the frame which is wrong. Probably have to scratch build a whole new arm.

So it begins..

Interesting project. 1/12 is a great scale for cars and bikes.

Had to cut apart the gearbox as one side of it is backwards.as shown by the real thing...how they did that is beyond me..ordered some nuts and bolts from model motor car.  Looks like i will have to make the torque arm and damper..as its somewhat wrong....getting ready for primer..

Fixed it..cut it..reversed it...cut the rods off made ones from brass rod and added the piece that holds it..

This little part is..taking a while.

Weathered the gearbox..making a new torque arm damper from leather, styrene and some nuts bolts and washers i had..

Also turnbuckles for the chain brake slack adjusters...

And started on the frame...

I was going to try and make the brake cable chain adjusters but the only chain even close is fusee chain for watches which is very expensive.

Stuck with what they give you but added aluminum tube and a nut..then thinned out some electric wire for the cable instead of the solid stuff they give you.

Starting to look like a car...

Creating a torque beam will be the hard part.

Too bad almost all of this will be hidden..if not I could replace over 50 bolts with the real thing..but sadly a full pan hides it all..but I'll pretend it doesn't.

Modded..the torque beam so it attaches to the leather damper the way it should.

Working on the super charger..replacing the plastic bumps with real nuts and studs and photo etch bolt heads.

Now have to create the linkage as whst they give you..is wrong..
