HMS Warrior by Ian B - Billing Boats - 1/100

Hi, just starting my next large build.

 

I intend to go quite off script with this build. But first I need to start the basics 

 

1. My building rig was too short 

2. I found it had warped so added some angled metal straps

3.jury rigged the ends to make it fit.

That's a rather large Hull!!

 

Several years ago, I remember a build Log for this. (Can't recall where, sorry.)

Anyway, the builder ran out of Decking Planks/Material.... I guess be judicious with the "Waste."

It is a seriously large block of wood lol

Once it gets a bow sprite and rigging it will really dominate the wall!!

The whole propeller area for very expensive kit is really poor. So i am going to be very ambitious and build the model with the raising of the propeller in progress..I have not seen this on any Warrior build..so if you know of one point me in that direction

So first cut the rubbish out

 

Now make the hole!

I can now do the planking, I won't build the stern gallery as per instructions until I can make the propeller bits and peices then build the section around it
