I have a question on your yard sanding block, it is hard to tell from the pictures but is it safe to assume that the spacer blocks are wedge shaped to the angle of the yards taper? But in this case for conicity creation I simply a little squeezed one edge of plates more strongly, for creation of small conicity of it it is enough.
