Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback. It gives me great encouragement for further work.
I decided to make wales from separated parts. It took me about 40 hours to make and stick 4+4 wales nad 1+1 black strake .

I started the hull planking - the lower counter. It is my first attempt to planking the hull in one layer.

You have made a excellent start on the Pandora.
Using TurboCad has done wonders for the designing of your ship.
Your bulkheads are looking spot on stacked like that. .
I will be pulling up my chair and iPad and following you along with this build.

The bulkheads and the inner the keel is made of plywood, the outer part of the keel will be made of pear wood. Thanks to the large number of bulkheads (26 pcs) and small gaps between will be done only one planking.

I decided to start work on another model (work on Royal Caroline have reached the stage where it can be easily done at home in the autumn and winter months). The choice fell on Pandora.
It is my first real scratch build (POB) according to plans from the book Anatomy of the Ship.
The first phase of construction was making a plan of the bulkheads and the keel using TurboCad.

I've always been intrigued by this model - looking forward to seeing it come together - with the wood replacements and extra details you're adding it should prove to be real beauty!
One quick question - you mentioned in your first or second post that the kit came with a scribed deck - is there no separate decking supplied with the kit? The reason I ask is that I have Corel's Berlin up on the shelf and it comes with plywood decks that the modeller is meant to scribe - this is different from the common method of supplying a thin plywood sub-deck on which individual planks are laid. If Mercury is like Berlin, I'll be interested to see how you arrange the deck planking.

Looking good mate, this one's on my wish-list so should be interesting. If you get a chance could you explain how you set up your template for the stem rabbet on the milling machine. Will be following your build with interest

At work we used an adhesive by 3M that worked great. It was used for repairing foam backing and was easily removable if needed.
