    I know that Toni Levine is coming up with some other learning projects, but I'm not sure when they will be ready. Don't pester her for a timeline, though. When the next project is ready, we will announce it - you can be sure of that! 👍

    Did you know that your donations to MSW or the NRG are tax deductible if you are a US taxpayer? The NRG is a not for profit 501(c)3 educational organization, and as part of the NRG (but with separate accounting), MSW donations are also tax deductible.     Hi Chuck, I was just looking at some posts on the MSW site and noticed this one. Can you delete the address in it or update it to our current address? (237 S Lincoln St, Westmont, IL 60559) Also, the current projects that we have released do not have a CD with them - we just send people a PDF of the monograph. Thanks!

    If you are planning to order something from the NRG store as a present for the holidays, PLEASE get your order in soon. Orders overseas can take 6 - 8 weeks for delivery in some countries. The sooner you get your order in, the sooner we can ship it to you. The clock is ticking!

    We are now offering back issues of the Journal through the NRG store. Quantities are limited and when they are gone, they are gone! If you are not quite ready to take the plunge into becoming a member, this is a great way to check out our print Journal or get back issues you may have missed.     I don't want people to think that I'm twisting their arms, but most people are going to get a 2021 calendar anyway, and these are really nice calendars with photos of models by MSW and NRG members, so why not get one from us? Flowers and baby animals are cute for the kitchen, but in your workshop or office a model ship calendar can't be beat! 😀

    We started with 263 calendars. We ordered 250, but they had a slight overrun. I had hoped that we would be sold out by now and ordering more, but the only customers - except for 4 people - were all NRG members. Where's everybody else? 🙁

About the NRG

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal.
