    Bruce - We will be using the US Postal service and sending it by 1st class mail. I know it's more expensive that parcel post, but we want to make sure it gets there, and it's still cheaper than Fed-Ex or DHL. Mary

    The NRG had it's conference in Mystic a few years ago and the Thursday tour was of the Seaport. It pretty much took up the whole day and there was a lot of walking, so plan your time accordingly in case you need to stop for rest. Mary Van Dahm NRG Secretary NRG Office Mgr.

    Mike - Thank you for being a teacher as well as a builder! The time you take to explain things is appreciated. Also, for anyone who might be interested, David Antscherl will be giving a talk on the Hayling Hoy at the NRG conference this year in October at the New Bedford whaling museum.     Hi, Elijah! Don't forget that when your baby brother gets bigger, he is going to start crawling and walking around. Make sure you have a safe place to store your model when it is finished and any other models and parts that you may have on hand when he gets to be of walking age! Store your tools in a safe place, too! Mary V

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
