It is very plausible that it could work have you ever heard of a Venturi? It more like the smokestack and hood upside down the hotter the exhaust is the faster it will rush past the fan blades turning them and in turning what is ever on the end of the shaft, oh BTW if you don't know what a Venturi is it basically was on most if not all cars at one time before fuel injectors were invented so yes I very much could if not did work at one time

Ok a little bit of an update he has done some work and I'll post some pics of what he has done so far
The top pic is what he made to hold the planks against the hull.which is plastic cloth spins with nails epoxied in.
The lower pic is of his home made miter box for his razor saw from a couple of blocks of red oak

For this build my father will be the Shipwrights. But as he builds this I'll be making two sets of templates so I can build the sister ships the uss United States and the Uss President from scratch and once I get the piece's made I'll start my own build logs for those in scratch build log section of this site

If I'm correct the constellation is in the same class as the congress. The Constitution, United States, and President are in the same class because the distance between perpendiculars is the same
