Kishmul got a reaction from edmay in Hello from the Moray Firth
Hi, You are not that far away from me (about 50 miles) and I completed an Artesania Bluenose around thirty years ago- a bit too long ago to comment on the current kit!
Welcome aboard.

Kishmul got a reaction from mtaylor in Dremel 200 - Any good for a basic ship build?
A small, rotary power, tool (like the Dremel) would be my first power tool.
And there is no need to take my word for it - it was Harold Underhill's only power tool- not a Dremel, but I rest my case.

Kishmul got a reaction from SawdustDave in Cannon Breech Rope Length
Nope, not possible with the weight and trucks (wheels) do not swivel.
The recoil forced the cannon far enough inboard, restrained by the ropes, to clean and reload.

Take a look at this resource as a starting point- Vector Art 3D.
You cannot create or edit the files they produce but you can scale them.
If you can find designs in their gallery that suit your project, it is a cheap and hassle-free method of producing nice work.

Those old catalogs are a godsend when you are looking for a shape or a part on old equipment. A neighbor of ours likes to model old farm equipment and he as a bookcase loaded with old catalogs.
