  1. Hooks and bolts must be made of iron and not wood, but this point is not mentioned on the monograph. So, it's a great work. Congratulations!
  2. It's very very real. Detailed and fine work, even on hidden parts. It's a pleasure to watch your progress.
  3. Hi. I've received an email from Ancre telling me that L'Hermione monograph has been sent it ("En cours de livraison"). It's a Christmas' present from Admiralty, but in Spain we celebrate an ancient tradition on 6th January, Three Wise Men's day, instead of 25th December with Santa. As you'll get it on Christmas Day, please give me your first impression. Regards. Jose
  4. It's a very fine and detailed work that inspires me on trying to build Le François' longboat, even before continuing with the ship. My sincere congratulations.

  11. Hello. Ancre is planning to launch its new monograph about L'Hermione, a frigate of the Independece War of America, in three different languages, including 34 plates at scale 1/48. More information here: http://ancre.fr/en/monographies-en/78-hermione-monographie-9782903179861.html Best regards, Jose Edited: I'm sorry, I've just realized there was duplicated this topic. Thanks for moving it.
  12. All frames are glued together and on the keel. Now, a hard and long work of sanding.
  13. Great work Karl! I've got a similar tool: Proxxon OZI/E.
  14. Amaizing and perfect! Your work motivates us.
  15. Hello Karl. Your model is growing. Nice-looking wood and very fine work as usual. Best regards, Jose
  16. Well, some progress in order to keep alive this topic. After "some" frames later... Checking frames in place. Of course, they are not glued or finished. In fact, I must build stern frames. I've also built hawse timbers, ufff!. I think it's one of the most difficult part of a ship. Best regards.
  17. Really marvelous! It's a very fine work and it's a pleasure for eyes. Regards, Jose
  18. It's a very detailed work. Congratulations!
  19. I continue with frames. In this case, I've only made floor timber and lower futtocks of aft frames. I'm also checking some of these pieces on the keel in order to have an idea. Of course, they are not sanded, glued or lined up. In fact, there is an extra thickness because of paper glued on each side. Cheers, Jose
