  1. Welcome, Mark! Good luck on your build. Can't wait to see progress.
  2. Greetings, Jack. This is an amazing resource. You'll be able to find answers to nearly anything you have questions about. Cheers.
  3. Ahoy, Capt! Nice to see a younger person here. You'll find a LOT of inspiration here. (None of it mine.)
  4. Welcome, Benjamin! Can't wait to see your work. Und ich liebe Bayern!
  5. Welcome, Kloppie! Can't wait to see your work!
  6. Welcome, Nick! I've worked on the Model Shipways Bluenose for about 15 years now. She's a beaut.
  7. Welcome, Antony! Love your black-and-white photos! Looking forward to more!
  8. Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your progress! Love plastic models.
  9. I really want to use some 4-letter words to express my admiration of your work, but I don't want to get kicked off MSW. What you're doing is impressive and enviable.
  10. I totally hear you. Seizing has really discouraged me from continuing work on my Bluenose. Good for you for soldiering on.
  11. Amazing bird models! Thank you all for chiming in on this topic!
  12. Thank you, Jan, and thank you for the forum recommendation (and your Latinate pluralization of forum!) I ordered a Viking ship, a Steinway grand piano, an old farm house and some kind of tower, maybe for air traffic control. Sorry for my late reply - I haven't been on for a while.
  13. Thank you Mark, Clare, and Chris! I will look up the card models on the forum. I'll also look for the Shipyard kits - thanks for that. Fenten's also has a shop in Australia. I ordered from them because their shipping costs were a little less than Fenten's Germany. It still took a month for the package to arrive in the US. And yes, Chris, I'm sure the complex kits aren't easy. I bought 4 kits that they rated "very easy." We'll see about that.
  14. Hello, I recently discovered paper ship models at fenten's site. They look like fun, realistic models that don't require the amount of tools and skill that the wooden ones do. It's hard to find people still doing them, though. Just curious.
