  1. To restore the nails, you can use a hollow needle from a medical syringe of adequate size. Just make its end flat.
  2. I have a feeling that the whole inner planking went a little too high. Could you please check the size of the gap between the planking and the deck? It should be completely covered by the waterways (1.5 mm thick). If the gap is too large (hope it is ok), I think the easiest way is to raise the edges of the deck in proper places a little.
  3. Thank you very much, you are quite right. It is a misprint: should be A59. Yes, the text is up to date. The photo instruction is better to be used downloaded from the site (it has more explanations and several small numbers corrections, although nothing critical if being careful).
  4. Well, I took part in the design, so I know the process. Btw, if there is anything that is unclear in the instruction, you are very welcome to tell. This kit's instruction worked out to be much clearer than the previous one's, but there is always a room for improvement.
  5. Looks almost OK to me. But I think it is not yet completely in place: look at the upper line of the top timbers transiting into the latrine door. It should be "jagged smooth". Have a look at the photos in the instruction!
  6. 2 possibilities: The latrine doors are not 90 degrees to the keel frame or the details did not set completely into each others' slots.
  7. Have a look at the gap between the latrine door and the last top timber. Looks like something is misaligned.
  8. > I do not think There is any space for mistake. Oh, according to my experience, there is ALWAYS a room for a mistake
  9. I like the Chinese approach! They change the brand name like a pair of gloves. Boom! - and they are out of the banned companies list! A quick search in Google by the picture leads us to a 3-yrs old facebook page, which contains several kits in build and also development (3D) stage. Models mainly by SC model company from China. Which leads us to obvious conclusion. As I understand, Chuck "likes" that company very much.
  10. Please pay attention, that the photo instruction has been updated in comparison to the printed one. The latest photo instruction for MK0303 Tender "Avos" is available at http://master-korabel.com/manuals/mk0303_ph_instr.pdf
  11. Large plates (wales. sometimes railing) - made from black fineline. Smaller plates (stern outer planking, some others) - dyed veneer (usually hornbeam)
  12. A small comment about the Potential Deal #4 -- or Not (Toss-Up). It is also should be taken under considiration, that the item MAY be not be for export sales, since it is coming from Russia. It means it MAY not have instruction translations. On the other hand, the local dealers (like modelexpo-online.com or craftysailor.com) will definitely have the proper translations and also a guaranteed replacement of missing/broken parts.
  13. Bruce, I do not quite remember, it was a long time ago. I think the drawing is originally from the Russian Martime Museum archives, but I am unsure.
  14. Well, before buying their wares - a thing to consider:
