  1. The cannon carriage has two wheels up front and the rear drags on the deck. There is an extended portion at the rear of the cannon that is curved up. This enables the gun crew to move the cannon for aiming. I did find pictures of the cannons that were rigged to the ship for recoil purposes. I am rigging the cannons to the side of the ship and this looks great.
  2. Thanks for your reply. The top deck cannons have two wheels up front and the back of the carriage rests on the deck.
  3. I need to know if the two wheel cannons on the top deck of le soliel Royal were rigged to the hull. I can’t find any information regarding this subject. Year 1669. 1:77 scale wood. Thanks. B Edward
  4. March 21/21. Here is the build so far. I built the anchors and the anchor supports and completed the ropes and pulleys. I completed the anchor winch. On the lifeboat deck I completed and installed the lifeboat supports and the grating underneath. I built two topside cannons and rigged them to the side of the ship. This is my build so far. B. Edward
  5. Hello everyone. Have been building for a long time. Current ships are Cutty Sark. Bluenose 2. 1850 pilot boat. River Queen stern wheel. Titanic. Lightening race boat that was a family sail boat. I really enjoy building and I like to listen to tips and ideas from others. I regard each build as another learning tool. I am currently working on HMS Endeavour. I am working on the masts now.
