S.Coleman got a reaction from GLakie in Heroine 1838 by ggrieco - FINISHED - Scale 1:24 - Western River Steamboat as she appeared before hitting a snag in the Red River
Great work. Nice clean build. Can't wait to see the boilers being made.

S.Coleman got a reaction from Elijah in HMS Bounty by Vinnie - Mamoli - 1:65 scale
I used the hull planking tutorial from this site for my Bounty. The lines you have look good. It's a real pain trying to match wood for the same shades but I hope you have it sorted.

Doing a wonderful job. The bow of this ship is quite a hard one to plank. Good work.

S.Coleman got a reaction from Elijah in Gretel by JLuebbert - Mamoli - Scale 1:54
A nice build you have. I found it quite interesting how the bulkheads came still in their spurs. I find Mamoli usually shrink wrap them in plastic. Your doin a great job. Good work

Still looking great, are you looking at using the kit supplied rope or goin to source some better lines for the rigging?

All these tools will get you off to a great start but the most important tool we can use, And it takes a bit to master and that is Patience! Take your time. It's not a hobby if things are rushed. I'm sure you will do just fine All the best with your first new build.

S.Coleman reacted to Martin W in HMS Pickle by flyer - FINISHED - Caldercraft - Scale 1:64 - my interpretation
Watching your work through these issues, Peter, provides the rest of us with good instruction on the process of sail-making & rigging. It's also nice just to admire your work in the pictures.
And I might also mention that in Oklahoma there is an occasional wind (as in constantly).
Cheers,
Martin

It's looking absolutely fantastic Bob. I have this kit waiting so it's good being able to see what I have in store. Very nice flowing hull planks you have. Good work.

The first sketch IMO. Looks to me like it would be more sturdy.

S.Coleman got a reaction from Canute in HM Cutter Cheerful 1806 by Erik W - 1:48 scale
It's coming along nice. Shouldn't be too much of a problem to get the deck fitted? Good work.
