I started this about 30 years ago and I have completed about 75 % of the hull and I have restated to try to complete I will post pictures but this is my first try so they may not be as good as some might expect I have a lot of questions the the first of which is:- panart provide brass edging for the gun ports do the expect the lids to be sized to fit inside or are the lids meant to cover the brass edging and thus never can be closed flush with the hull
-
What is the correct colours for gun port lids :- red inside black outside or yellow outside are the hinges black or yellow thanks

If you use mastic glues like no nails or any of the fast grab adhesives I use an eco stick equivalent you can spread it very thin and then just place the tiles in place the grab effect will hold the very light weight tiles in place do small areas (3 sq ins) at a time also in my first post my typing got all screwed up I was just referring to industrial Grab adhesives mostly thick white mix sorry for the confusion

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
