Lucius Molchany Posted February 11, 2017 Author #34 Posted February 11, 2017 The wife went to a bridal show so I had some extra build time.Planked up the hull but ran out of the basswood I bought on Friday (15 planks were not enough)So I had to use some left over mahogany.It is ok because I intend to either paint the bottom white or copper it.I have to fill some of the large cracks with wood strips and use filler on the rest. zoly99sask, coxswain and Nirvana 3

Lucius Molchany Posted February 22, 2017 Author #36 Posted February 22, 2017 Ok I am still in the process of filling and sanding the hull prior to priming and painting.I got sick of it so I decided to cut out the cannon ports.The kit comes with metal cannon inserts but they look kinda funky so I might do something else. And there are also a pieces list and videos. The videos in the dvd are very good in describing very well a lot of construction procedures. Dont be afraid of it.
