I have now check the parts supplied and I have found some are missing, i.e. the stand for one.

How do I start  log, I am new to this game as I have never built a model like this before and this is the first time I have used a site like this so total novice all round 🙂

The category that this thread is in is called "Kit built logs for subjects built from 1901 - present day". Looking forward to seeing the start of your thread. The stand does not come with the kit. Outlines are on the plans. You should post pictures of everything you have so we can get you on the right track to acquire the missing parts. Hope this helps.

Both my projects and I have been gathering too much dust. Back on the fireboat working on the electronics installation. All the electrical installed so far is to supply power to the ESC's and RX. I installed two 6V batteries from an older project. They go into a Action two battery combiner. From there the battery power goes to an Action Power Distribution Board. The two motor ESC gets separate power for each channel from the Power Distribution board. ESC controlled motor power is passed through two Action fuse blocks. I collected a lot of Action parts in the past. I find them very well designed and easy to hook up. The first picture shows the layout of the power components. This is enough for the RX and ESC's. There is a lot of animation on this model. The dual stick F14 with multi switch modules and appropriate relays will provide all the functionality needed. This will follow.

 

The rear deck is in place and the front deck will be installed next.

I too have purchased a "Dusseldorf" after debating for about 5 years and missed out on Futaba's F14 series. As far as geared motors are concerned I've found mini geared motors on eBay. They range from 3V, 6V, 9V, and 12 Volts DC. The RPM range is from 10 RPM to 2000 RPM.

Cost varies from $2.79 ea. to over $11.00 ea. Some dealers reduce the price for more quantity's of same RPM only plus shipping. 

 

Hope this out for those wanting small geared motors.
