hollowneck Posted December 21, 2021 #33 Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) Nice job. I'd love to get my hands on that wheel, steer her through some rough seas. Looking closely at your model, I was struck by the small size of the planking treenails; at this larger scale they appear to be quite accurately-sized. The reason for commenting about this aspect of your very nice model is that so many others, in their zeal to be accurate right down to the...uh...planking treenails, make them too large, and, if I may add another personal observation about this accuracy, much too pronounced: there are too many beautifully made ship models whose hulls and decks appear to have caught a serious case of the measles. I applaud that your representations of this over-worked detail appear to be "just right." Happy Holidays!
