I tried passing a naked flame very quickly under the 0.15mm thread and didn't have anything left. Obviously, use a rapid once-over. rhortman Posted December 20, 2022 Share #33 Posted December 20, 2022 I use a Weller soldering gun with a flat tip, hot enough without the flame to burn off the fuzzies. Run the flat tip quickly across the thread, you get some smoke but I haven't yet burned through a thread. If you burn the thread just gives it a weathered look.
