Didn't like the bread and butter longboat that came with the kit so I decided to order a longboat from model expo.

Kit came in a plastic bag with no photo and a single sheet of printed instructions and the photos on the sheet 

were so dark that I could not figure out what they were trying to show.  Found some links on this site from other 

builders that helped clear things up.

Chainplates with deadeyes are done - made another jig with an alligator clip to hold them level while gluing them to the hull.

Chain did not come with the kit - bought some chain in Walmart and secured to the hull with pins.

Bow rails are completed thanks to Kenneth Powell for the great photos in his build log. Made the grating out of 1/32x1/32nd strip wood.

Using my home made jig for attaching the rails to the bow makes up for my shaky hands.

Been a while since I posted made some progress but lots of other things happening as usual.  Used drill press and dremel to shape the yards.
