I picked this orphaned kit up a couple of years ago intending to build it for my youngest grandson. So it has found its way to the building table. It's an r/c model. It will measure about 24 inches when finished. I will not be adding a stars and bars flag and will opt for an American flag.

When I mention orphaned kits or projects, folks think they were free.we But no orphan is totally free from expense. Take the Jenny Lee, I just spent $76.00 just on the running hardware package, which is why I believe there are so many of the older Dumas, Billings kits floating around. Most of their newer kits have the hardware package included.

I'm still working on the Jenny, I got her all planked, putted, sanded, sealed the interior, working on the deck cabins now. Just waiting on a low humid day to glass the hull.

Thanks, I use 2oz cloth on all my RC boats, with three coats of resin. I sand between each coat with 120 grit, 220 grit finishing with 400 grit sand paper. I use a long curing resin, which takes 24 hours to cure, which allows the resin flow and flatten for little to no sanding on the final coat.
