Hi.   I am trying to identify a couple of family items.

Not because I think they have financial value.    I appreciate handwork, and these are interesting items.

One is a model of the Danmark, but the rigging is a lot more complicated than anything I can find pictures of online.  It’s really dusty and I am considering trying to clean it, but some of the rigging is also torn, so I can see that might become quite a task. I looked for rigging plans but this seemed to have many more ropes than any I could find pictures of.     It’s a metre long, so around 39 inches.

The other “Blanco De Sal” is smaller, a bit more than a foot long, in a glassed box, and is constructed entirely of some kind of salt crystals.   It has a date of 1996 and I think was given as a business gift.

Any info on either of these would be appreciated, or guidance on where to look.

Thanks in advance.
Simon

I am not so sure that there are too many ropes on the Danmark. It looks like the old Billings-kit, with sails added to it. Rigging and blocks are out of scale, but I think it follows the instructions (Billings used to have downloadable plans on their site, no idea whether they still do do).

the other thing is just plain weird if you ask me :). Never seen such a thing before.
