The kit's is more intricate,  but your carving looks mighty good.   Especially since this is an imaginary vessel, and the embellishments can be whatever you please,  I think that pushes the balance even more in favor of your own handwork.

Thanks, gentlemen!
To be honest, I’m not fully happy with it — I’m sure you’ll find the perfect colors for your Gretels. I tried to make the wooden stern decoration to avoid that too strong black accent, but well… not this time.
Maybe I should just paint the wales black and get rid of one extra color.
